The British spandau ballet are one of the most emblematic and most successful bands in the 1980s.
Founded by the Martin brothers and gary kemp, they derived from a funk and synthpop style for a movement/gender that emerged in this period called the new Romantic.
names such as roxy music and duran duran occupied alongside the ballet spandau, the top of publicity preferences as well as the media conquering a prominent place in contemporary music history. Despite a short career (1979 -1989), the ballet spandau shined in the European tops of this decade through hits like: “Through the Barricades”, “Lifeline”, “To cut a long story Short”, “Free with your Love”, “Cross the Line” among many others.

October 16, 1959) - guitar; Martin Kemp (b. October 10, 1961) - bass; John Keeble (b. July 6, 1959) - drums; and Steve Norman (2) (b. March 25, 1960) - rhythm guitar, percussion and sax.
